This project was created as an assessment for SCU - Bachelor of IT - Developing the User Experience Module.

All 3D assets were created by myself and font used was imported from Google - Jim Nightshade.

This was developed for a 900x600 resolution, allowing us to learn to take sizing into consideration in preparation for developing a game suited towards mobile devices for Assessment 3. The layout was designed with this in mind, to facilitate the users experience in a landscape setting and using thumbs as navigation tools.

As this is manipulated on the computer I went with hover color changes where-as if it was for a mobile I would change it for onClick color changes.

Any and all constructive feedback is welcome :)
Thank you.

Feedback: Many important aspects of UI and UX have been extensively considered in this scene. You have an obvious understanding and knowledge of the current industry standards and best practices as you have clearly adhered to and delivered to a high standard. Well done! The consistent UI design and placement, space, layout, and grouping of the buttons, result in easy interactions with the Menus features and functions, delivering the expected user feedback, and increasing the UX. The inviting look and feel of the Christmas theme,  captured by festive contrasting colours that "Pop" in all the right places come together so well to draw the user in and make them want to engage in the game, resulting inevitably in purchasing the game.

Considerations: Reduction of opacity on the GUI would capture more background details in the wonderful scene. Room lighting to reveal more detail in the environment, the user feedback on the move action buttons and the font style.

Great job C!

,

Nice work! The font could have been better for easy understanding!

Great Job! I like the colour scheme.

The gingerbread man and the icing stand out in the dark room.

I like the shape and decor of the tree, too.

On the start-up menu, there is a good choice of words and the game menu, a great UI, colour choice, and positioning.

The "back" button has only a different colour, which helped me mix up with the setup button.

The thing I can suggest is a font choice, it is slightly tricky to read for me, but the font suits the scene.

Well done! Looking forward to seeing your game next!
